Your birth matters. As it progresses, the flow of labor challenges us to go within, to let go and surrender to the process, to connect with the most primal aspects of our being. As a doula I journey with you, providing emotional support and physical comfort measures that help make labor more manageable. I act as an anchor; the ears and eyes of the room, so you can go within, and partner(s) can be fully present. It's an honor to support families throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum healing. I'm here for you, with all the tools I've picked up along the way! a love note from the doula
Over the last 7 years I've attended births with 20+ families from many communities throughout MA and RI. While I truly enjoy supporting all birthing people, as a queer nonbinary, trauma centered birth professional, I am especially enthusiastic about working with survivors of sexual violence and folks in the LGBTQ community. With a busy bodywork practice and a little one at home, I've been able to make space in my schedule for 1-2 births a month. If you're interested in working with me, please be in touch with as much advance notice as possible, as my birth schedule tends to fill quickly. A quick word on fees and payment structures. It is my belief that every birth would benefit from skilled doula care. I see this as essential community care work, however health insurance does not yet cover doula fees. (we're working on it!) I am approved to accept HSA/FSA and am happy to share strategies for paying less out of pocket. I reserve 4 sliding scale slots a year and offer payment plans to aid in making this care more accessible. Please reach out for your free consultation with any questions you may have!
